OTR’S Growth in 2019 to Create 400 New Positions
South Australia’s largest private employer OTR continues to lead job growth in South Australia by creating 400 new positions in 2019.

OTR, which currently employs more than 3200 locals, is also investing over $40 million in construction and redevelopment of 11 OTR stores this year. Stores at Berri and Whyalla McRitchie have recently opened and currently metropolitan stores at Sheidow Park, Greenacres and Trinity Gardens are being rebuilt, with Sheidow Park re-opening this week on Thursday 18 April.
Later this year, OTR will also open stores across the border in regional Victoria, in Mildura, Horsham and Portland.
This significant building program comes after OTR also invested $40 million in 2018 constructing and rebuilding 10 stores at locations including Port Augusta West, Salisbury Downs and Walkerville.
“With this significant investment in new stores comes approximately 400 new jobs, both within our OTR sites and at our Head Office,” continued Warren.
“This year, we will hire people in our metropolitan and regional OTR sites, across our convenience OTR stores and food brands including Guzman Y Gomez, Subway and Oporto,” Warren continued, “including Customer Service, Baristas, Cooks, Store Team Leaders and Area Managers.”
“Due to continuous growth, our corporate office is seeking talent for newly created roiles in our Marketing, Data Analytics, Finance, Information Technology, Customer Service, Human Resources and Administration teams,” stated Warren.
In 2018 Peregrine Corporation, the owner of OTR convenience stores, won the ‘2018 Large Retailer of the Year’ award at the National Retail Awards.
