OTR Re-Opens Second Store in Whyalla
OTR are proud to announce the re-opening of a second store in Whyalla with a new multimillion-dollar development, OTR Whyalla McRitchie, which will open on Wednesday afternoon, 10 April 2019, creating a further 15 new jobs for the local community.
The opening also sees OTR and St John Ambulance SA join together to provide lifesaving resources to the community, installing its 17th public access defibrillator at the store with the hope that it could save lives for the community in the case of sudden cardiac arrest.
OTR Whyalla McRitchie will operate 24/7. The store will offer a premium range of fuel and services including a carefully curated range of supermarket essentials, as well as renowned OTR brands EAT and CHILL. New offers to Whyalla Stuart include locally roasted, barista made C Coffee, freshly squeezed OhJ! and New York style hot dogs Moe’s Dog & Shake, plus the famous Krispy Kreme doughnuts!
The new store will also offer customers the convenience of a 24/7 Drive Thru where customers can pick-up pre-ordered C Coffee and access great food on the go.
OTR General Manager, Darryl Cotter said, “The new store affirms OTR’s commitment to investing in regional South Australia. The Whyalla Stuart store offers ongoing employment and the opportunity for career development and training.”
“We are employing young members of the local Whyalla Stuart community which shows OTR’s commitment to regional training and career pathways, which is one of the reasons why we were recently awarded the 2018 Large Retailer of the Year by the National Retailers Association,” continued Darryl.
To celebrate the opening, OTR Whyalla McRitchie we will be holding a community day on Thursday 11 April from 9am – 1pm, with Krispy Kreme Giveaways and a free raffle.
OTRGive partner St John Ambulance will be onsite from 10-11am Thursday 11 April, with its CPR van holding an information session about defibrillators and free CPR training.
The innovative OTRGive program is another key way that OTR is supporting the community on an ongoing basis. Every time a customer shops or refuels at OTR and scans their OTR App, OTR makes a donation on the customer’s behalf to the community group of their choice – including St John Ambulance SA and Foodbank– at no cost to the customer. Since launching in June 2018, over $68,000 in donations have been generated for local community groups directly from OTR on behalf of its customers.
“We are encouraging all of our OTR Whyalla McRitchie customers to download the OTR App to help us give back to the community. Customers who download the OTR App will be able to come and try their first regular C Coffee for free and have ongoing access to OTR’s Buy 4 get 1 Free Rewards.”
“We are a passionate South Australian family business who are proud to be generating jobs and investing in the future of South Australia, particularly in regional areas of the state,” concluded Darryl.
