OTR opens first store of its kind in Australia
South Australia’s leading retailer and largest private employer Peregrine Corporation, continues to invest in South Australia as it opens the first store of its kind with the launch of OTR Port Wakefield Road on Wednesday 10 December.
The construction of the OTR Port Wakefield Road site is the largest single investment to date, made by Peregrine in building an On The Run convenience store. Importantly, for employment in the north of Adelaide, OTR Port Wakefield Road has created over 90 new jobs and has employed hundreds of tradies in the lead up to Xmas.
Built on over 3 hectares, the store is an Australian first convenience experience offering all 24 hour services including a Krispy Kreme factory and drive thru retail store, Oporto Chicken, Wokinabox, state of the art Car washing, a supermarket and Brumby’s bakery and special trucking facilities including showers, truckies lounge and hi flow diesel under a dedicated canopy.
Michaela Webster, OTR Chief Operating Officer said “OTR Port Wakefield Road brings manufacturing back into the Northern Suburbs with a new Krispy Kreme super store and manufacturing plant which will see capacity to produce over 1000 donuts every hour.”
“At a time when unemployment figures in South Australia are the highest in Australia, OTR continues to create jobs for South Australian’s across construction, food manufacturing and retail sectors. In addition to OTR Port Wakefield Rd, we are opening another four stores before Xmas day at Aldinga, Clare, Murray Bridge and Kingston. Our team is very proud to be creating 250 new jobs, particularly at this time of the year and keeping hundreds of local trades busy across SA.”
“We are an innovative and dynamic family business that is proud to be generating jobs and investing in the future of South Australia.”
