OTR Creates Job Opportunities with New Store in Berri
OTR are proud to announce the opening of the new multimillion-dollar development, OTR Berri, which will open on Thursday 7 March 2019, creating a further 15 new jobs for the local community.
When open, OTR Berri will operate 24/7. The store will offer a premium range of fuel and services including a carefully curated range of supermarket essentials, as well as renowned OTR brands EAT and CHILL. New offers to Berri include locally roasted, barista made C Coffee, freshly squeezed OhJ! and New York style hot dogs Moe’s Dog & Shake, plus the famous Krispy Kreme doughnuts!
The new store will also have a dine-in Roadhouse which will serve plated meals to locals and tourists across extended hours, creating even more opportunities for Berri locals.
OTR General Manager, Darryl Cotter said, “The new store affirms OTR’s commitment to investing in regional South Australia. The Berri store offers ongoing employment and the opportunity for career development and training.”
“We are employing young members of the local Berri community which shows OTR’s commitment to regional training and career pathways, which is one of the reasons why we were recently awarded the 2018 Large Retailer of the Year by the National Retailers Association,” continued Darryl.
This comes after OTR launched an innovative community program OTRGive in June 2018. The program works through the OTR App, by creating a donation to support local causes. Every time a customer shops or refuels at OTR with the OTR App, OTR makes a donation on the customer’s behalf to the community group of their choice – at no cost to the customer.
Donations to the community through OTRGive have exceeded $56,000. The most supported OTRGive partners which have a strong regional presence in the Riverland are Women’s & Children’s Hospital, Leukaemia Foundation, Make-A Wish and Guide Dogs SA/NT.
With recent updates to the OTRGive dashboard, customers now have the ability to track donations through the OTR App. This will be updated daily, alongside the total donations from OTR, creating a transparent platform for customers and community groups to monitor their growing support.
With more than 22,500 people engaged in the program, OTRGive is fast approaching the 25,000th person who links to an OTRGive cause and scans their App. When this occurs, likely in April 2019, OTR will donate a further $25,000 on behalf of the customer to their chosen community group.
