OTR is an Australian convenience retail company. The OTR story is about giving consumers choice and making life easy for our guests, day, or night, we never close!
The company’s innovative business model has been instrumental in transforming the Australian convenience landscape, and continually challenging the sector.
Currently OTR employs over 6,500 dedicated individuals who contribute to our national network of over 200 convenience retail outlets across South Australia, Victoria, New South Wales, Tasmania, Northern Territory, Australian Capital Territory and Western Australia.

A Diverse Portfolio

The OTR Group has a diverse portfolio, which also includes retail chains Smokemart and Giftbox (SMGB). The group also holds the license for 92 Quick Service Restaurants (QSR), including distinguished brands Hungry Jacks, Guzman Y Gomez, Subway, Oporto, Wok in a Box, and Krispy Kreme SA.
OTR offerings include Drive thru and Happy Wash at select stores. We also offer iconic OTR brands, C Coffee, Moes, Eat, Chill, Simply, and Nom Nom’s.

OTR App – Making Life Easy

For ease of convenience the OTR App enables pre-ordering online, and exclusive loyalty offers, including reduced fuel in the OTR App via Scan Pump Save, complementary rewards including C Coffee, Eat, HappyWash, Subway, Chill, and Krispy Kreme, and OTR’s community program OTRGive.

Our Humble Beginnings

OTR’s proud history began as a South Australian family-run BP service station in 1984. Today OTR is ranked among the top 15 private companies in Australia, and the largest private entity in South Australia, generating over $3 billion in annual revenue.

A New Chapter in Growth

In December 2023, the ACCC approved Viva Energy’s acquisition of OTR, starting a new chapter in the OTR story that will see the OTR brand continue to expand nationwide.

Our commitment to local partnerships is reflected in our collaborations with brands like Golden North, Bickford’s, Rohde’s Eggs, Tucker’s Natural, Tony’s Flowers, and T Bar.

OTRGive – Making it Easy to Make a Difference

At OTR, we believe in giving back. The OTRGive community program is integrated into the OTR App, empowering customers to support national charities, at no cost.
When guests select an OTRGive charity in the OTR App, and scan the App barcode at purchase, OTR will donate a portion of the sale to the guest’s charity, at no cost. It’s a simple as When You Buy – We Give. Since 2017, OTRGive has contributed close to $1 million to charity.
