OTR Continues to Give Like Never Before

OTR’s innovative new community program OTRGive has launched the third stage of community partners on the OTR App. Every time a customer shops or refuels with the OTR App and scans their barcode, OTR makes a donation to the community group of their choice – at no cost to the customer.

OTR will donate 1c for every $2 spent in store and 1c per 2L of fuel purchased to the community group of the customers’ choosing within OTR App.

The 12 new community partners added in this week’s third stage include: 1. Adelaide Symphony Orchestra 2. Asthma Foundation 3. Operation Flinders 4. Catherine House 5. Royal Flying Doctors Service 6. Salvation Army 7. Novita 8. Little Heroes 9. Skylight 10. Breast Cancer SA 11. Basketball SA 12. Surf Lifesaving SA

When the 25,000th person links to a community group within the OTR App, OTRGive will give a $25,000 donation on their behalf to their chosen community group. Yasser Shahin, Executive Chairman Peregrine Corporation says, “OTRGive has been 3 years in the making, we believe it is of incredible significance to the South Australian community and it will make a real difference. “We are so committed to this program that for the 25,000th person who downloads the OTR App and selects an OTRGive cause, we will donate an additional $25,000 to the community group they have selected.” The first stage of the program launched in June. There were 12 community groups for people to choose from, including Zoos SA, Adelaide Fringe Artist Fund, KickStart for Kids, Make-A-Wish, Anglicare SA, St John Ambulance SA, Foodbank SA, Guide Dogs SA/NT, Trees for Life, Leukaemia Foundation, WCH Foundation and Football Federation of SA.

In July 2018, a further 12 community groups were added, making a total of 36 community partners. The second stage included RSPCA SA, Adelaide Festival Centre Foundation, CanTeen, Variety – The Children’s Charity, St Vincent de Paul, CFS Foundation, Hutt St Centre, SCOSA, Nature Foundation SA, Sammy D Foundation, Flinders Foundation and Little Athletics Association.

One of OTRGive’s founding partners, Jonathon Robran from Operation Flinders said “OTRGive will provide young people at risk with a chance to participate in the Operation Flinders program to transform their lives and grow as valued members of the community.” Little Heroes Foundation’s Chris McDermott, added, “Working with OTRGive will be a great assistance to us in supporting families with seriously ill children to enable them to have some in home support to make life a little bit easier in a very tough time for them.” In its first year, OTR expects to donate at least $1 million to South Australian community groups and is pleased to announce this amount is uncapped. The more customers connect with OTRGive, the more OTR will donate.
