Our lucky Guest has revealed that a tarot card reading and a premonition inspired their winning numbers, which won them $1.4 million in the $30 Million Megadraw, drawn on 30th December. They were 1 of 21 winning entries across Australia to score themselves a Division One prize of more than $1.4 million in X Lotto’s biggest event of 2017.
“I couldn’t have imagined a better start to 2018! It’s a lucky year for us!” said the lucky winner. Speaking to SA Lotteries, the winner also expressed their disbelief at the prize. “We’d just finished breakfast and my partner said he checked his entry and he hadn’t won so I thought I’d better go and check mine. I checked it and I said ‘oh what’s that! Holy smoke!’ I just can’t believe it. I cried when I saw it!”
When asked how they planned to spend their prize, the winner admitted they had already made plans. “We actually bought an apartment off the plan recently, so we’ll pay the mortgage right off. It’s exactly what we need. Instead of a big mortgage we can pay cash for it.”
And how did they pick the winning numbers? The winner explained the unusual circumstances. “My sister texted me two months ago and she said to me that she had a premonition that these numbers would be lucky for me. She also had a reading from a tarot card reader that one of her sisters would win X Lotto, so I used three numbers from her premonition and the others were spur of the moment numbers.”
